  • Profile

Fresh Start provides excellent care to women who are experiencing problems in substance abuse disorders. No woman is turned away because of a lack of income. Our vision is to graduate participants drug and alcohol free, gainfully employed, and capable of securing an independent life. (from website)

Fresh Start is a minimum 6 month back-to-work and transitional housing program nestled right in a local neighborhood. Just off Jackson Avenue, we have two houses and a built-on administrative building where we provide our women with food, shelter, clothing, and counseling. One aspect of our program focuses on finding employment for the women enabling them to provide for themselves once they complete their stay at Fresh Start. This way we are able to make a lasting difference, by helping provide stability so the clients do not end up back on the streets or in the court systems. Our heart is to help these women make a lasting change where they can lead safe and healthy lives. (from website)
